Default O2 Sensor Fault after Fuel Pump Replacement

2013 Explorer XLT, 3.5 L V6. I recently had both fuel pumps replaced and when I picked it up the Engine Service light was on with an OBD code for a downstream O2 sensor needing replacement.

I understand the fuel tank needs to be removed to service the fuel pumps. Could any of the required work for the fuel pump have cause damage or disruption to the Bank 2 downstream sensor?

We would like to think not, but since we were not present when the work was done not smart to speculate without actually checking physically/

Does removing the fuel tank require dismantling the exhaust pipe? Is the downstream sensor on the exhaust line and maybe got bumped?

In some situations, an exhaust hanger might have to be unfastened to push a tailpipe out of the way, that will not cause a problem but I believe your situation is pure coincidence.
