My car starts okay, but as soon as you put it in drive, it stops running? Can you help! Am desperate!!!

I have had the same problem and it is in the dealership being fixed. The codes that will come up areP0171 and P0174 - this indicates that the intake manifold gasket in leaking and needs to be replaced. Wether there is recall on this or not I am still trying to find out but will be covered under a warranty if you still have one.

 

What year is it ?,, The intake lower gaskit does seem to be a problem on the newer ones. ,
