Ford Explorer This long running SUV has stood tough against the barrage of new entries into the mid sized SUV market, and with a variety of engine sizes and trim lines, the Exploder offers something for everyone.

Will it work??

Even if they did mount up, which I cannot confirm, I would expect you might have some trouble getting it to start and run. WHY ?

The 94 was controlled by an OBD I system and the 96 was controlled by an OBD II system. Day and night difference.

You do have another option or two.
Get a salvage yard engine that they will guarantee is in good running condition that is from another vehicle JUST LIKE yours.

Consider having the present engine repaired . Sometimes that is cheaper, check around. .
