I still miss the carb. engines at least when something went wrong it didn't cost an arm and half a nut to fix it. I also wish that I could find one 69 ford f100 fairly cheap.

Well, here's the new one, and the old one. I had to order the pigtail for the new one and it wont be here until the 25th. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find a wiring diagram, or anything that will help installing the new one. Also, the new one came with an extra port, its a lot smaller than all the other ports, its in the pic. I blew through it and it feels like its sealed but the part came with no paperwork what so ever.

I don't know where you obtained the part, but just about all parts that require modification on installation come with installation instructions.
Hope you didn't get one that was "field tested".

You didn't state whether you tried to get the valve from a Ford dealer, did you ?
You might try a place called Vintage Parts.
I located what might be what you are looking for,
Google, LMC Truck
The Gas Tank page, # 57.
Let us know if this is what you were looking for.

I got it from autozone, but I know how to hook it up, I just dont know about the wiring part. The guy at autozone that ordered the pig tail wasnt sure if its coming with a wiring diagram or not. I just need to be sure I wire it right. And thats the only kind of selector valve anyone has now. I looked everywhere and they all have the same thing. The original is extremely hard to find now, I couldnt even get it through ford.

I cant find the page you suggested either. Im on a few other forums as well, and everyone saying that part starting getting very scarce a few years ago. Thats why you have to use the universal one now. Or go to a junkyard, but Im not going to try to fix my truck with an old part that may not work either.

This is the toll free # for LMC Truck 1-800-562-8782
They should be able to tell you if they have what you're looking for.
I'm pretty sure it was displayed on the page I posted earlier.

I have the right part. Im just looking for a wiring diagram. I found that site you sent me to, and theres no pics of the part, and doesnt say if they are 3 port or 6 port, it doesnt ask what kind of motor you have, etc. Like I said, I have what I need, I just have to see a diagram so I dont hook the wiring up wrong and burn out my fuel gauge, and so It will work the way its supposed to. Thank you for your help though.

We have some of the older books at work; I'll take a look tomorrow and see if I can't find something to help out.

Well, bad news, we don't have one (anymore) that goes back that far. If you can wait a little (day or two), I'll contact Ford and they might be able to send a copy. I'm working on it.
