2008 F150 broken ring like metal in Transmission (not snap ring)
Maybe someone can tell me what's in my 2008 f150 oil pan. It's not a snap ring. All snap rings on and in good shape. So what is this and where did it come from? (will attach an image) Here's what the truck was doing before I took down the pan. A few weeks back a few times the truck would shutter when I hit 40-45. Would do this every time, just every now and then. Two days ago my wife came back with the truck and said it was jerking. So I took if for a drive and when I would stop at a light or stop sign it would take a few seconds the catch gear and hit hard. That was the jerk she was referring to. So I got some Lucas transmission slip fix and put in. At first, it seems to work. So I drove it for a while to get the oil warmed up. It was shifting smoother. A few minutes later though it starts getting worse when I would stop now at a light or stop sign now it would rev up high and then catch gear. So I went back home and went to turn around in my driveway and went to go into reverse and nothing. Went through all the gears and nothing was catching. I thought oh no! Tranny is screwed. So I turn off the engine and then started it back up. Low and behold the gears starting working again. So Parked it thinking it might be the solenoids. So I was going to get two new ones the Dual Shift and the TCC. But when I drop the oil pan and found this metal part I waiting to get the solenoids because it looks like I have other issues. And the little yellow dipstick ball from the factory was in the pan as well. So here is the image of what I found, looks like little long bearings I put in the middle of the ring but not sure. Anyway if someone can tell me what this is and name the part that would be great. I look at some transmission rebuild kits on ebay, but I do not see a ring that looks like this in any of them.
