My 2011 F-150 parking brake light stays on. Looks like the cable is too loose to pull the rubber pad up to the switch. Is there an adjustment to tighten the cable to pull the pad up to clear the parking brake light?
The pickup is not used often, just use it to pull our 23 ft travel trailer. 101000 miles.

 

Cables do stretch and there is usually an adjustment under the cab to take up the slack in the cable.
If the foot brake pedal seems low, the rear shoes for the parking brake may need to be adjusted first.
Suggest you have a good shop check the brakes for wear and possibly require some addl work.
