Default 2012 F150 won’t start

Several days ago my 2012 F150 with 5 liter engine refused to start. All electricals still worked. It was as if no current was getting to starter. I had the truck towed to the nearest dealer. Diagnosis: this is being caused by the aftermarket security system and it must be removed. Dealer removed the security system, and, $926 and 7 days later, I drove the truck home. Next day, same problem. Battery checks good. Attempts at jump starting don’t work. Question: Does this starter have a Bendix? I don’t hear a sound like a Bendix spinning and not engaging, but that’s what it’s acting like. I appreciate any thoughts on this matter.
Addendum 01/31. I now know that there is no Bendix, but the starter does have a solenoid that is involved in the starting process.
The truck was towed back to the the dealer, and they duplicated the problem one time. Every other time they attempt to duplicate it, the engine starts.
Many thoughts? Anyone else have this problem?
