I'm pretty sure all of this family (Forum) are trying to help in one way or another. We have a really great "Super Moderator" and he bails us out from time to time.

When folks from other forums ask for some assistance at times, it says something about this Forum. A good place to learn and get help.

So,,,,,,,,,,we may not always be 100% accurate all the time, but we do try to offer assistance when requested, glad I can participate.

It’s getting spark,, but is it a ‘hot’ enough spark, meaning when tested is it blue in color, and will generally jump 1/2” gap or so. Check spark from the coil lead and see if the spark there is adequate. Then at the plug wire ends.
Might try unplugging the SPOUT connector and see if it starts or improves.
I’d do a compression test on it straight off as mentioned,, just to rule it out . If there’s a base engine wear problem=low compression, or, if the cam is out of time it will show up in the comp readings. But generally an engine that’s jumped time may pop out of the intake or exhaust while cranking on a start attempt.
Visually checking for correct ‘TDC’ and distributor rotor pointing position for #1 cylinder is a quick way to check for jumped time, again to rule it out.

If your using an ether or fuel assist on a start attempt, and the compression is good/spec, the spark quality or ‘both’ ignition and cam timing would be in question..

Something we may have overlooked,
the vibration damper on some had a tendency to move the outer circumference of the pulley and if you went by the timing mark alone without doing as Hayapower suggested and compare the rotor position with the timing mark for TDC it could throw you some !
