Default '87 ford F150 troubles

I have an '87 f 150 with a 3oo cid efi engine. For no apparent reason the truck quits while driving. It will usually start the next day. I have replaced the following. Coil, distributor, ignition modules, plugs and wires, fuel pumps (both in the tank and the high pressure on the frame rail) and fuel filter. Any help would be appreciated.

spark is good. plan on dropping the fuel tanks, cleaning them out and flushing the fuel lines.

Sometimes the filter sock gets plugged and when allowed to sit for a few hours the crap will come off and settle to the bottom of the tank only to get sucked up again and plug the sock filter. I think your move is a good one if you confirmed you are not getting fuel when the engine stops running. Did you get a chance to check this? hanky
