Default 88 I6 no start or die, starts later

I have an 88 Ford F150 w/ an I6. For awhile now it has had some intermittant problems. It will start and run, but then die. It will not start back up immediately, but if you try over and over again or wait some time, then it will start and run again. As the truck is older, i decided to dig in and start replacing parts that i felt could cause this problem. I have replaced: Ignition Coil, Ignition Module, Wires, Plugs, Distributor Cap, Rotar and most recently the Distributor and PIP Sensor. After the most recent replacement of the Distributor and PIP sensor, i thought the problem was fixed. I drove the truck to work and had no problems, ran the best it had since i had purchased the vehicle, but I yesterday went to move the truck and it would not start again. Normally the no start is after the truck had been running and died, so now i am stumped. Any ideas and help would be great! Thank you!

When it dies can you check if you have spark and fuel?
One of these will be absent, checking will help determine next course of action.

I apoligize, I did not explain that this is spark problem. I replaced the fuel pump about 6 months ago, i have ensured that it is priming when the key is turned and have also ensured fuel is getting to the engine.
Thank you.

First, not all "new" replacement parts are good quality especially if fly by night aftermarket.
Since you have replaced those parts mentioned , is it safe to assume you have a test lite available ? If so, this is what I would do.
When it quits and won't start;
1. Check for ign power to the coil with the key on. Both primary terminals.
2. When cranking the engine one of the coil primary terminals should stay on , the other should flash on and off.
3. Make sure of those two , let us know if you have both.

Sometimes it is a good idea to do those checks mentioned while everything is OK and it runs. That way you know what should be happening and how it should look.
