So I’m a young guy with some experience doing basic stuff at shops around town. Nothing custom. Just got my hands on an old 1992 F150 Flareside. Got the 5.0 in it and I’m wanting to do some type of engine swap one day. I’ve seen some forums says any 5.0 will swap into any 5.0 and be mostly plug n play. Is that true and what are some other ideas for motors to build and swap in?

 

Mechanically, probably , YES . Depending on how you want it to run, there could be differences.
Manufacturers made changes from year to year and some mid year, make sue you try to get one as close to the original one coming out.
