Default Changed ignition now theft light flashing and no start!!

Yup, The wife lost the only set of keys and the remote door lock box for our 2001 F150. I changed the ignition with a new one from Napa. Now the theft light flashes constantly and the truck cranks but will not start.

Please help!

This is what I believe you may need to do.

You have 2 options;
Have a dealer come with programmable keys and the correct scan tool and reprogram your new keys and the vehicle PCM.
The other option is to have a locksmith that is capable with the correct scan tool, do the same thing except he will most likely charge a lot less.

If there is another option I am not aware of it.

You can do certain things like program another key etc. BUT,,,,,,,,,,, you need to have a programmed key to start with. With no key available you have no choice. Might be a good idea to check with a locksmith.

Okay, I thought the two keys which came with the ignition were chipped. I guess like you are stating, I better look up a locksmith.

Thanks, Andy
