1997 f-150 lariat,150,000 mi. auto trans w/4x4 4.6 v8
hello have 2 challenges, at current time am trying to get to the bottom of the first one. daughter driving truck, cel comes on and truck stops. will not restart. towed 100 mi. to house.
these are the things i have checked , fuel pressure meets manual standard with guage, breakers and relays all work accordingly, spark at plug none, signal to injector not sure( tested with test light ). however shows 13.8 v to injector, coil resistance on coil good per manual 12K, checked grounds, battery good, am i missing a diagnostic test someplace? am not sure how else to test the coils
You said the truck died while driving and can't restart, is it the first time? If not the first time, recently everytime it died were you able to restart it?
When it's crank no start can you jump start it? You said battery good, so what voltage at rest, and what's the cranking voltage?
There are tests that take no time to diagnose, and if there is CEL just get the code first, virtually any code reader can do it.

code reader said
401..egr insf flow....300 random misfires... 171 bank1 fuel lean, -153,155,151... all O2 related from manual
voltage at rest is 12.5V at crank 11.24V , amp draw 4.3A. after all day trying to trouble shoot, on trickle charger for night. will check in AM.
also which is bank 1 left or right?

Reason: information missed
P015X Below, additionally, H20 to H28 and H30 to H37 attached below in zip format:
o2 sensor location you requested below:
If all of a sudden so many errors showed up all at once, it can be a problem with poor ground.
Sometime you reset all the DTCs and disconnect the battery ground cable for half hour or so and initiate a relearn, the trunk might be able to start up again when everything is reset to default profile and trim setting. Something is resettable something is not, then you can narrow things down.
Let me know if you need any specific diagram/instruction.
tried to clear codes would not clear,. so disconnect negative, and let set for a bit and see wheere it goes from tere.
furter info, driver staed previous problems wit acceleration up hill
only IL on dash prior to trk stop was change oil.\
when trk died all lights on flashed and console and would not restart

have found two grounds that were questionable cleaned and still no spark at coils. is there a way to test te O2 sensors or do they just get replaced?
Don't worry about P0171 and P015X as they are less serious than your P0401 and P0300.
Also don't buy new O2 sensors yet.
I will get you some diagrams and troubleshoot procedures when I get home.
