Crank,Spark,Fuel but still wont start!
1986 Ford Bronco/F150 4x4 302 V8 4Barrell
I was just driving and no hesitation or anything and my truck just cut out, diddn't lose power, checked the fuel pump and filter all the way through the fuel rails and then the fuel regulator and its sending fuel through it. Here is a list of what I have already replaced and inspected.....
1.) Alternator
2.) Spark Plugs
3.)In Cab - Fuses
4.)Air flow Charge Sensor
5.)TFI Ignition Module
6.)Distributor Cap and Dial
7.)Starter Coil
8.)The Battery was tested and fully charged
9.)The Firing order is in place 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8
10.)All Ground wires are securely mounted
I Think I might have a timing issue, I can't figure this out, Anyone got any ideas? Ive been reading up on my haynes Ford/Bronco repair manual. What would make the truck run fine and then just die without warning ? After all I have replaced.

Remove the distributor cap and see if the rotor is turning when cranking the engine.
If not, check the gear at the bottom of the distributor. The roll pin was known for shearing. Once you remove the dist. ,see if you can stick a piece of wire or toothpick through the pin holding the gear on the dist shaft. If not, replace the pin and reinstall the dist and reset the spark timing. You will need to get the timing mark on the crank pulley set to TDC for #1 piston then when you reinstall the dist make sure the rotor is pointing to the #1 spark plug wire on the dist cap. You will need to remove the #1 spark plug to make sure #1 is coming up on the compression stroke and that is the TDC mark you need to line up with the pointer.
