F150 Sunroof Problems
My sunroof tracks on my 2012 F150 broke and I replaced them. Now my sunroof will not retract, but it raises up and then down, and then goes to the closed position whether I use the tilt feature or the retract button. The motor must be working or there would not any movement. Has anyone seen this before? Is this a programming issue or mechanical? Thanks in advance for any help.

Below is the training for the sunroof motor, try it first. Based on what you are saying I would say, most likely you did not get all the little broken bits of track guides out. Take the glass and guides back out, if available use compressed air to blow out the track again, if not available maybe try a vacuum, if there is any debris in the track it wont work correctly.
1 - With the driver’s door closed, place the ignition switch ON and wait for the overhead console lights to turn off.
NOTE: Steps 2 - 4 are to set up the overhead console to accept roof opening panel switch inputs to be held for up to a maximum of 150 seconds. Normally, the overhead console will consider the switch stuck after 30 seconds and ignore those longer inputs from the switch.
Steps 2 - 3 must be performed within 3 seconds.
2 - Press the left map light once.
3 - Press the right map light 4 times.
4 - Press the left map light once.
NOTE: Step 6 must begin within 2 seconds of releasing the switch at the end of step 5.
5 - Press and hold the roof opening panel sliding glass close switch until the roof opening panel glass moves to the closed (hard stop) and then the vent position, and then release the switch.
6 - Press and hold the roof opening panel sliding glass close switch again until the roof opening panel sliding glass fully opens and closes.
7 - Release the switch and verify proper operation.
Power Roof Opening Panel Initialization
WARNING: Keep objects and body parts clear of the glass panel when carrying out the initialization procedure. During the initialization procedure, the glass panel closes with high force and cannot detect objects in its path. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.1 - With the driver’s door closed, place the ignition switch ON and wait for the overhead console lights to turn off.

I tried your procedure and could not get it to work initially. I kept repeating the procedure and somewhere along the line I must have got it right, because now it works.
How in the world did you find that procedure?
Thanks again for your help.
Best regards,
