Default ford f150

i have a 95 ford f150 4x4. The ignition switch will not turn with the key. To change it out you have to put it in the run postion. Any ideas on how to get it out without turning the key?

Unless someone posts a simpler method the last time I had one of those jobs I pulled it apart piece by piece working my way in until i could rotate the tumbler assy.
I don't at this time know of another method.

Old midnite auto supply trick as a last resort dent puller and a slide hammer to forcibly pull lock then pick out any remaining pieces and turn to run with a screwdriver and install new lock Note you might end up with a brocken housing and have to replace the assembly You might be monney ahead to just see a lock smith.

We use a punch and hammer and force the locking pin through the cylinder then pull switch out with pliers.

Way2old , I like your method since it beats beating up the steering column.
Thanks for the technique!
