Default Need some advice on 1990 f150 Oil pan gasket

I’ve read a lot post and watched a lot of videos and I still can’t get my oil pan out. I have a 90 f150 4.9 Manual 4x4. I have done everything to try to remove the oil pan. I still don’t have enough clearance. I would just replace the gasket, but i need to replace the oil pan because the guy that owned it before me put a bigger bolt on the drain. The oil pan bolts are removed I just can’t clear it from the bell housing on the transmission. At this point what I’m thinking of doing is to remove the bolt on the bell housing and pull the transmission back to give me space to remove the pan. Planing on doing this later today. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but I can’t seem to figure it out.

Depending ,,,on if something on the crank shaft might be preventing you from a little more forward movement, if you can rotate the engine a little , you might just get enough forward clearance to lower the pan.

If the chassis crossmember is preventing forward movement , you might need to jack up the front of the engine.

I have the motor lifted up from the front. I will try to rotate the motor later when I get home.

the pan is un bolted. I removed the bolts on the motor mounts and lifted up the motor. I removed the rear trans bolts and lifted up the trans.

As long as there is no leak from oil pan gasket (yours can be reusable), how about forget dropping it, just buy the oversized drain plug kit and retap it. The kit should come with the new drain plug in correct size and thread. It's not like a tranny with filter inside (unless you externalize the filter) and without drain plug.
