Default Oil Filter? - 2011 F150 Eco-Boost V6

Hi Everyone - looking for some guidance. I went to order my FL2055 oil filter from Amazon based on the owners manual and I received an FL-500S. The response was "the FL2055 has been superseded by Ford to the FL-500S". My question: What are opinions on using the FL-500S over the FL2055?

All 2011 3.5 Ecoboost engines came from the factory with the FL-500S filter. The FL-2055 filter was scheduled to replace the FL-500S for the 3.5 Ecoboosts, but Ford determined that the FL-500S met all of the filter requirements and the FL-2055 was discontinued per TSB 11-5-9. The FL-500S has been used for years, you're OK using it.
