Hello guys,

My code is P0174 (bank 2 lean). I scanned my truck and it shows my 0211 (oxygen sensor 1, bank 1) and 0221 (oxygen sensor 2, bank 1) are jumping from .800v to .030v. But my oxygen sensors for bank 2 don't jump around all that much (.800v to .750v). Which o2 sensors should I change?

 

You might consider doing something like adding some addl fuel to the intake and see if the oxygen sensors respond. If they do then the sensor may not be at fault. You don't say what model & engine you are working on so generally you might look for a vacuum leak on the bank that is running lean.

0211 and 0221 sensors are on the passenger side, right?

0212 and 0222 are bank 2 driver side, right?

 

Your designations are correct. If possible, strongly suggest to purchase Motorcraft either from a dealer or internet.

In plain English and from the scars received from installing other than OEM parts , That is why I try to stay with OEM whenever possible, nothing like doing the job over either right away or shortly thereafter. It might cost more, but haven't met many folks that enjoy doing the job over again.
