Default 1988 f250 no fuel

Ok I have a f250 with the 5.8 (351 I believe) it’s fuel injected itl bust every time with a little ether but won’t stay running left to its own devices I don’t believe the fuel pump is coming on.

I can ground pin 6 on the self test fuel pump comes on I have fuel pressure but truck won’t hit a lick at this point I’m pulling my hair out ., I did replace the relay but not sure that really did anything. My first go around with this engine and fuel injection so I’m leaning anyone have any ideas? Give. It runs on ether I figured once it was getting fuel it would run.

When you first turn the key on, the fuel pump should run for 1-2 seconds, does it Yes/ No

We need to know how much fuel pressure it is sending to the engine. Depressing the schrader valve on the fuel rail and it squirts is not any kind of measurement .
It requires 35-45 psi which can only be checked with a fuel pump pressure tester that can be rented from some auto stores if needed.
Did you check all the fuses? The fuel injectors can't work if the fuse is blown.

I always want to know if fuel is getting into the combustion chamber and looking at a spark plug or two can tell us if that is happening,,,wet or dry ?
