Default 2001 7.3 F250 Power Stroke question

I am looking at possibly purchasing a 2001 Ford F250 with the 7.3 Power Stroke. It has 220K miles currently. 2nd owner has owned it since 2002 and 30K miles. Seems to have been well maintained. I have heard that by around 200k the injectors would need replacing and they have not been replaced so far ($1600-1700 for the kit with glow plugs, gaskets, wiring). Is that correct and is there anything else I would need to consider replacing at this point to sort of bulletproof this thing? In general, would like to hear from 7.3 owners as to reliability on these engines. Thanks.

If, it is as you say, good routine maintenance will give you the best returns. Why not take things one at a time and continue the Good and Regular maintenance.?
