If you don't turn the light sw to auto ,you do/don't have rear tail lights? Does your truck have a rear bumper with lic plate lights?
Do the rear side lamps work yes/no?

Do or did you at any time tow a trailer?
I know bismic is aware of this, but there so many questions that we need answers to in order to chase down the path power takes to those tail lights.

Yes all the time. When I disconnect the trailer harness it still blows.

Do you have tail lights working on the trailer when plugged into plug?

No I do not. I can't get anything to the back lights. Fuel and abs seem to work and that's it on that harness.

John,
After a lengthy examining of the parking light system I find that there is a problem with the SECURITY MODULE LOCATED BEHIND THE DASHBOARD.
Inside that module is the parking lamp relay that sends power to the rear parking lamps, all of them.
This is definitely a job for a dealership because it will need to be programmed to your individual vehicle.

bismic,
Thank you, for all your help and patience, couldn't have done it without your help. Let me know what you think, thanks.

I don't know at this time if that had anything to do with the fuse blowing.
