Default 2024 F350 Cruise Control problem

Basically, it stopped working, then started again, then stopped...you get the picture. We've ensured the sensors are clean and unobstructed. We see a notice on the display of, "...requires technical service" or something like that. We will likely need to take it in for maintenance, but if anyone out there has ideas for a DIY fix, please post. We are on a long cross-country trip.

UPDATE: A pal suggested resetting the computer system by disconnecting the battery and reconnecting after a short wait. IT WORKED!

DIY fix check your brake lamp and its operation, then check your brake switch and see if it's loose or sticking.

Even when the cruise control is working (off and on, as I said), I have indicators come up advising us "SERVICE ADVANCE TECH". Seems something in the electronic brain has gone bad. 😒

Yes! Now that I think more about it, I think the display did say, "Service Advance Trac". So, what does that indicate/mean?

This involves quite a few sensors.
Among which are,, wheel speed sensors
Steering torque sensor
Acceleration sensor
Anti lock brake system
Lateral motion sensor
Accelerator pedal sensors

If vehicle stability is concerning at the time it can cut power to the engine using the throttle body
SO,,,,,,,,,,,as you can see this is more involved than what can be diagnosed without the required equipment and knowledge.
