Default Ambiant temp sensor location

I know alot of you will immediately say it's in the mirror. But it's not. I have a 2014 F250 Super Duty XL (fleet), 6.2l gas engine, completely manual tow style mirrors, manual A/C just on/off. I just pulled off my mirror and nothing is there. Not even a harness for it. I removed the grill and I have spent the day looking for it. I'm about to loose my mind. Where is this thing?

After everything i have read online, im starting to think that my truck doesnt have a AAT sensor. But i am wondering how it is reading -40f on the dash?? I plugged in my scanner and got some real-time readings. The scanner says the ambiant air is 73 degrees, the intake temp is 90. I'm not getting a code. I just want the temp to read correctly, and I think it's messing with my A/C not working. The ambiant temp the scanner is showing is correct. But where is the sensor. I have the part to replace, but can't locate it.

I have the 2015 6.7 powerstroke and have the same issue was wondering if you found the ambient Air temperature sensor behind the grill I know it's not behind the mirrors or under the mirrors or has anything to do with the mirrors but can't find it all the same have looked everywhere.

It is located near the flat part where hood latch is located.. If you are looking from the top, all you can see is the little piece of plastic that holds it BEHIND the top of the grill.

Be careful that you don't confuse it with a crash sensor .Get a picture of it , then you will have a better idea of what you are looking for.

Check the routing of cables under the dashboard near the steering column and around the driver's door.
