I'm looking at a 2008 F-350 King Ranch with the 6.4L diesel. It has a check engine light on and the seller said that the code is the O2 sensor. I didn't think diesels had an O2 sensor. Am I wrong? Is this a serious condition for which I have to sell a couple of kids to pay for the repair or is it fairly minor? I know on regular cars it isn't really a big deal. I'm going to look at the truck tomorrow afternoon. It's what I've been looking for (a diesel 250 or 350 with decent miles). I really appreciate any input.

 

If the seller told you it had an O2 sensor , I wonder what else he sold you ?
