95 F350 Tranmission/ECU problem please help!

My 95F350 bangs REAL hard when switching to second gear and then if i reset the ECU by disconncting the battery it stops for about 30 miles then comes back what can this be? thanks.

Any OD lamp flash, ABS light, or speedo drop out?

nope, a mechanic once told me it could be a solinoid...
