I can tell you it's very easy to pull the plastic away and remove the switch.
In order to remove the **** and shaft that goes into the light switch so you can get the plastic out of the way , there is a small button located on the bottom of the light switch itself that needs to be depressed and while depressing that button pull the **** and shaft out of the switch. The rest you will be able to see with no problem. You may want to remove the negative battery cable because when you pull the **** out it will leave the headlights on until you reinsert the shaft.
