Default dead diesel !!!

I have a 04 F-350 CC with 8000 mi. While putting around town 2 days ago I stopped at a light and when I started to go the thing truck wouldn't, it just lurched and sputtered then it finally accelerated until I let off the gas then it would do the same thing. luckily I was only about a mile from home and was able to make it, unfortunately it 5pm on friday. I had it towed to the dealer saturday they ran a scan and it popped more codes than the service manager could remember. He said they would get on it monday morning.
Has anyone heard of anything like this? If so what was it?

Got the girl back yesterday, turns out it was the egr valve and apparently there is a problem with these egr valves that ford is aware of and are replacing them as needed, in other words when your diesel dies!
