Default Exhaust problem

Could I run my 1976 f250 off the manifold for about an hour? I need to drive to get an exhaust

Not recommended.
Under the circumstances any kind of extension that would direct the heat away from combustible parts would probably help.
Not knowing just how bad the exhaust system is , can you cover any holes with something like a soda can and wire to at least try to prevent burning up the vehicle.
This is where you need to use your own judgment .

I don’t have to worry about back pressure valve burning or anything?
