Getting educated is the most important thing w/ a 6.0L. Most people have no clue what to do starting out. Also, many other people seem to resist good advice on how to make a 6.0L be reliable. I suppose that is because many people INSIST that it should be able to be treated (cared for) like a 7.3L, or it is bad. It isn't all that costly or hard to get a 6.0L properly upgraded, IF you find one that has been cared for.

That said - buying a used diesel truck is a risk of sorts, and if you get a "poorly cared for" 6.0L, it can cost you quite a bit AFTER the purchase.

There are some good guides on other forums on how to buy a used 6.0l!
