Default Head light replacement

1999 F-350 XLT model
The lenses on my head lights are yellowed and can't be cleaned from the outside.
I'd like to replace the head lights with something better but nothing crazy wild.

Any suggestions or prior experience with a particular item?

Thank you.
Eric

Hi Eric,
There are several kits on the market that will help clear up the fogged lenses. I did use one made by "Mothers" . It came with different grades of pastes that when applied with the foam applicator and a battery operated drill did a pretty decent job. I'm sure various auto supply stores have some kits at reasonable prices that will work. The cost to replace the headlight lens unit can also be considered, but will cost considerably more. It does make a big difference when the lens is clear.

Hanky, Thank you. It seems however that the lenses are clouded on the inside. I did try some small areas to attempt to clear up the outside as a test. But unfortunately that didn't make a difference.

Thanks!
Eric :-)

A lens cleaning kit costs less than $20. Many actually work really good. I would try that before spending hundreds on new lights. But, if you're already decided, I would go with an LED conversion if your spending the money anyways, you might as well get the best tech available.
