Default Rear seat removal

I just removed the rear seats from my 2022 F-250 XLT Crewcab and installed a storage box.
This has caused a "REAR BELT MONITOR FAULT SERVICE REQUIRED" indication at start up and the airbag indicator light is illuminated
Is there a way to cancel these out?

Did you removed both the belts and the buckles?
If yes there is not a easy way to get rid of the warning, there are resistors built into the belts and buckles so the system can self test to make sure there are no faults, in theory you could measure the resistance of each part, purchase resistors with that resistance and install them to the correct wires, which should trick the system into thinking all parts are present.
I cannot guarantee this will work but based on how the system works I believe it should work fine.

Hi Scott
Thanks for the reply
Yes, the belts & buckles come out with the seats. I don't think it can be done any other way as they seem to be wired together.
Kind of surprised that this is so complex. I can't imagine I'm the only person making this modification...

You should be aware that your airbag system may not work as designed since as far as the RCM is concerned there are multiple faults present.
