I've been scared by all of the reports I hear of people's tailgates being stolen. I don't want to lost mine. Is there any product I can buy that would act as an anti-theft device? It's a 2017 F-250 if that helps.

If your tailgate locks that will keep people from stealing it, if it doesn't lock ford offers this accessory to prevent theft, be aware its a bit of a pain to install.

As long as you lock the tailgate your probably fine, tailgates come off very easily when they are unlocked so just take that opportunity away. It would be the same as a thief passing up a locked car since they are looking to find a unlocked car which will be less work.
