Default Let's Upgrade the five hundred

Currently in the process of modding my Limited. Trying to see if anyone else has attempted or also in the process. This car is great in every Dept except power, and I'm not looking for crazy numbers just get up and passing power for this mini tug boat. I've already lowered the car 2" on 18" rims, put in the K&N filter, a throttle body spacer, and added a throttle response delete module. I'm looking to get an aftermarket intake, custom exhaust, replace my front suspension and get 20" to get a little better fitment next. But with current set up I can feel a big difference between around 30-50mph with response. The down side is I believe my 160k cvt tranny can't take it. I've seen post on here about switching from cvt to 6spd but every mechanic says it can't be done until I say I know someone who's done it in which their reply is usually, "well yeah but you need alot of stuff the axle, computer, blah blah blah".

My hat's off to you in your attempt.

I really like my 500, except it's the slowest accelerating car ever - LOL.

So I found out although my cars VIN runs as CVT, at some point someone swapped it for a 6 speed...

I found out, after installing a custom made cold air intake routed to the wheel well, I was chirping tires going into second gear..all this time I thought they were simulated shifts.

Those engines with factory turbos put out over 500hp from what I saw. I'm now interested in finding a way to put one on. Also putting cooling on the intake.
