Default Small dash panel removal

I want to remove that horrible buzzer/alarm behind that small louvered panel to the right of the steering wheel on the dash. How to you remove the cover?

A lot of dash panels are held in place with push in plastic retainers, some of which can break on removal if not careful

If you carefully pull the edges of the panel, you will feel them pop off. If you don't have experience with this type work, suggest you have a good shop handle it.

Do you think your SRS system is working fine? When the airbag light lights up with your key in ON or RUN position (no others), that's a good sign that your SRS system is fine.
Why do you want to remove the warning chime. Which exact device is bothering you? headlight / ignition key / door / seatbelt / airbag / others

Ahhh,
Heiko , brought up a good point !

The warning buzzer is going off to tell you something is wrong. You do realize removing the buzzer doesn't fix the problem.!

Suggest you find either through your owner's manual or some one familiar with the system what malfunction sets off the buzzer and once you know , then you can decide if it is wise to do so. What do you think ?

You are right it’s better to disable per device instead of the chime globally. Seatbelts for instance you can use beltminder, the others maybe you can code them out or disconnect the ground circuit. Your srs system uses a separate chime and not sure if you can disable that at all. You need to find out which device is malfunctioning or just annoying then i can look up the service manual and get you the diagrams and instructions. I do have alldata for your car.

The buzzer is working as it should….it’s just very annoying especially when I open the door with key in ignition. If I could remove the panel cover at least I could muffle it with a piece of foam.
