Default Suspension stabilizer part number is 5G1Z-5A772-AA

Found in the scrap yard a 2005 Ford Five Hundred.

The rear stabilizer we need the to replace the hollow one ford put on this vehicle as it rusted in two and they are now discontinued.

Suspension stabilizer part number is 5G1Z-5A772-AA.

After unfastening all the bolts, removing the tires, two of the rear suspension stabilizer bar brackets bolted into the frame up under the vehicle won’t budge; can’t move them out of the way to side the stabilizer out. We don’t want to cut those brackets yet just in case.

I don’t know if I can pipe wrench to twist them loose, room is not much of an option but sprayed the with rust bust before we left because were trying again on Tuesday.

The two brackets connected to the stabilizer links are unfastened and move freely.

We don’t have much option laying on the ground rear of the vehicle is set on a steel frame horse in front of the rear tires. The vehicle is off the ground 3 feet at the most in the rear.

We don’t want to tear the car apart.

How do we go about getting the stabilizer out?

We do know they have torches at all scrap yards.
Ask if they can heat the parts you need to loosen them.
