Hey there... new to this so bare with me.
2000 Ford Focus went to get something to eat and the little bugger fired up right away and took me there no problem. I went to my car to return home and nothing. Figured it needed a jump... nothing. So I can't jump the car, it won't fire, it has a new starter (which isn't turning over at all), I just did a tune up and an oil change, and recently cleaned the battery terminal... I thought for a moment it was the anti-theft system. When I contacted the dealership I was advised that the odometer should still come on and that this is an electrical problem...

...I already had to have it towed over a hundred miles and would like to exhaust all options before having it towed agian.

 

Does the vehicle have an auto trans or a std trans? Possibly a neutral safety switch problem. Why did you change the starter? I ask this because what was thought to be a starter could be something else.
