Currently having an issue with truck. I was waiting in line to dump my trash with my foot on the brake and the truck decided to take off I never touch the gas and had to slam it in park to stop the forward motion could not get the truck to stop with just the brake tires left a mark. It has been at the dealer for a week and they don’t seem know how to fix since they couldn’t duplicate. Has anyone had anything like this happen? Seems like ford is trying to get out of figuring out was is wrong that I somehow was at fault, I have one year left on lease and feel the truck is unsafe to drive so far they haven’t given me any kind of solution.

 

I believe you have a vehicle with an accident waiting to happen.
It has a "Drive by wire" system and the Electronic Throttle Body may be responsible don't know for sure.
It is most unfortunate you could have been seriously hurt and others too, and to give you an answer like we couldn't duplicate the concern is unacceptable. This is not the first time we have heard of this problem.
A suggestion, leave the vehicle at the servicing dealer and have them drive it and take it home if necessary , but only you know it paid no mind to your attempts to stop it. At least the person testing it will be expecting something to happen, they just don't know when..
A while back there was a big problem with unexpected acceleration in a certain manufacturers vehicles. One of the things that was supposed to be instituted was BOA , Brake over accelerator which was supposed to help the driver stop the vehicle if sudden acceleration took place. Don't know why this has escaped the engineers on this vehicle.
