2019 f250 6.7l alarm going off by it self
Hi there
I bought a 2019 f250 6.7l this year. I wired it to use my western v plow and since I hooked the wires up the alarm keeps going off at random times like today for instance it went off 3 times in 20 mins and so far this evening it hasn’t done it at all. The last time it happened was about 3 weeks ago. Any ideas?
Thanks Kevin

Hi Kev,
Lots a luck with your new toy !
Don't know for sure, but where did you tap into for interior controls.
If the installation instructions were for an older year vehicle without the electronics that are in your new vehicle,,,,,,,,,,,,,well just a thought.
If there is any possibility of stray voltage signals getting into the network on your vehicle anything is possible.
Hopefully before you need to use the plow, how difficult is it for you to remove power to the plow electrical system just to eliminate that as a possible source of the problem?
If the problem goes away you may need to install some electrical filters to prevent stray signals from setting off the alarm. This is only a thought at this time and only actually temporarily removing any "add on s" will eliminate them as a possible cause. Places that install plows every day might be better able to answer some questions because they get the latest info to prevent these things.

Alarm
Hi Hankt
they alarm started going off before I put power to the isolation module and the handled control does not have power yet. When I started wiring it everything was plug and play except for the park and turn lamps. I had left the power wires unhooked. P

When you add a plow to a newer vehicle you could have an isolation module and a lighting module.
If the assy you are installing has electrical controls of any kind , it has to be compatible with your vehicle's year etc.
Did you get the special wiring harness kit for your particular vehicle from Western ?
If everything was OK before anything was added , would suggest that you unplug everything added and see if the problem goes away.
