Ford 1994 E150 Econoline Idler and SAI pulleys gone. Why?
So, serpentine belt broke. Went to replace. There is no idler pulley or SAI pulleys. I didn't know they had been removed and belt was rerouted. Normal size belt for vehicle doesn't fit. Went to replace pulleys. Can't find a dang idler pulley bolt to save my life. I guess my questions are 1. Why would someone remove the pulleys and reroute the belt in the first place? 2. Should I bother putting it back to normal? 3. What size belt do I need if answer is No to question 2?

Somebody evidently took a short cut because they they didn't want to spend the money.
They are out there..
I believe the idler pulley is part of the tensioner assy, You can get a new tensioner and then use a tape measure to get some idea of the approx length belt you need..
Some stores will allow you to buy the approx size you would need and return the belts you did not need or use and get you money back. You might want to check that out with the store before purchasing the parts. Stores like NAPA usually will allow that..
