Was able to get it started but won’t idle without giving it the pedal. It did perfect for about 30 seconds then died. Mass air flow sensor maybe? Idk I’m so irritated with this truck

It does appear RJ that you are not understanding completely what raski is attempting to tell you.

First from what I gather, the engine does run , when it feels like.
If I understand what you are telling us, when it does start , it runs smooth for a very short time, is this correct?
Based on your reply,we can go from there.
If you want to get to the root of the problem, there are certain tests that you MUST do. We can help you there.
Please don't get discouraged just because you have limited background with this, that is why we try to assist. Patience pays and throwing parts at a problem not knowing why, is expensive and can get discouraging which is where I believe we are now.
There is no doubt there is a problem with the starting system. That has to be corrected before going after other things.
