Information should be on a Sticky for all to see, especially since so many seem to have the handle problem. You treat the information like it is directions to assemble an atomic bomb.

Anyone who knows anything about public Forums knows this is a no-no. Not for you OR me to decide, up to the Mods to shut it down. Seems this Mod is more of the carefree type but I assure you it will be stopped eventually as a matter of proper Forum policy.

The Moderator's job is to stop you from being reckless -- even when you insist on doing so.

BlackSton3,

Do you need to information? If so, just shoot me a PM as suggested in post #251 by Hayapower, the forum's Super Moderator. If not, why all the posts? Would a sticky be helpful? Maybe. But the person who gave me the information requested that there be no public posting of this information. I tend to honor any such request. Now if you disagree with that, I'm sorry but that is how it is going to be handled for now.

If members of this forum want to post their email address, that's up to them. After all, posting their email address in no way affects you, does it? I understand the security issue you are concerned about, but I'm pretty sure almost every member here realizes what they are doing by posting their email address. Once again, as post #251 states, they can securely PM me with their email address for the information. Their choice, so let them do what they want. We all get your point by now.

If, in the future, the moderators choose to handle things differently, that will be their choice and we will all abide by their decision. That's part of belonging to a forum, abiding by the rules of the moderators. I guess if a member does not agree with the guidelines of the forum, I'm pretty sure they can leave. Just a guess as I have not yet looked into that. For me, I'm happy to spend my free time forwarding the information given to me in order to help others on this forum. That is, after all, the whole point of this forum. Just my own thoughts though. I guess I could put that as a sticky if you would prefer.

Thank you
You have to remove trim panels first. Buy a new actuator and replace it. Mine would not unlock the door and it was closed. The trim panels are attached with clips to the door frame. Gently pul on the edge of the panels and they will snap out. Do the bottom panel first. *Dont pull to hard!* If you see the clips through the trim panel you are pulling to hard. They will tear the trim. I will see if I still have schematics to send to you shortly.

Now you're being a smart-***. Totally uncalled for and completely juvenile. But not completely unexpected.

Look, I'm just calling out the stupidity I see when Forum members willingly posting their emails in a public place where they can easily be picked up and be exploited due to the encouragement of other Forum members. Read back through the thread and you will see that members have been encouraged to post their emails publicly.

Then I'm calling out the further recklessness of Mods not shutting it down; end of story. As far as I'm concerned you all can give out your Social Security numbers and Birthdays next.

Whatever.

My friend you are either bored or Just have no clue if you keep repeating the same thing, we got it, you don't like it, just leave the forum and thank you. I'm pretty sure by now everybody has 2 or more email's to use and one of them is for spam and other things.
Nevertheless I got the schematics and fixed my problem. The mechanism was rusted and no longer moving, a lot of gear oil and grease got it working again.I was lucky, the actuator was still functional. Thank you for the help.
