2006 Freestyle with 200K miles. Both rear vent window are controlled by one switch in the center of the dash. The drivers side vent window operated intermittently while the passenger side always open and closed. Now the drivers side window is stuck in the open position. Any suggestions? I am considering cutting the physical link and sealing the window shut. Also, the rear wiper doesn't work, hasn't worked in the year of my ownership. Thanks

 

MIne stopped working intermittently. Then it started working.
Now I when i open and close it. I make sure not to open all the way and close too tight.
Like that it works.

 

You are getting notice the motor unit is planning on retiring.
At the most inconvenient time it will go into retirement usually just before it rains.lol

Had to replace a few already and the notice was ignored.
The mechanism may not be worn out, but there is an internal circuit breaker inside that decides to quit, in the open position of course! and if you can wait each time for it to cool it might move another inch or so and quit again.
