Turn Power off to Save Battery - '15 Mustang won't start
5/21/22 update
went to install Battery Tender and after I popped the hood, there was clicking from the engine, like she was trying to start.
The only thing we did was release the hood latch.
We disconnected the battery, system reset and clicking stopped.
Hooked up the Battery Tinder and the clicking resumed.
Could it be the battery??? Or an electrical issue?

Update 5/31/22:
Ford checked out battery.
low on CCA; Factory testing 600, AAA battery 366.
Tested for a drain, none found
Suggested to get a new battery as this one is not performing to capacity.
Has anyone had issues using a non Ford battery?

Like a lot of things, batteries are made according to the contract specs.. Some meet higher requirements than others.
When purchasing batteries we try to stick with well known brands. Sometimes batteries that don't meet the specs are sold with an off brand name They work , but the durability is not always there. Usually,,,,,,, dealerships can't afford comebacks so their quality is usually good.
There are , of course, times when the battery is fine , but gets blamed because of another problem that may not be known.
The days of removing a questionable battery and just installing another are gone as far as new vehicles are concerned. Special steps are required using special equip.
A new battery can be destroyed if the special procedures are not followed.
