Default 90 bronco II over heats. Heads???

I'm looking at a 90 broncoII for $200. It runs ok but it over heats. The guy tells me it needs heads. I'm not so sure. I'm going to buy it, but I thought someone might be able to give me some other things to check. It's a 2.9, stick, FI. what do you guys think could it be the heads? It doesn't miss, It runs & sounds fine.

Thanks

he probably means head gaskets, but thermostat, and the obvious check how much coolant there is, it might be leaking from somwhere, and if it's head gaskets, it's not that big of a job
