Default 92' 2.9 transmission probs

Has anyone had problums with the Mitsubishi transmissions in the 92' 2.9 ranger. I have had mine rebuilt 5 times by different people in the past year and I'm getting tired of taking it out. How do the Mazda transmissions stand up it there anything else that will fit with out major modifications?

A mitsubishi tranny in a Ford? Huh? I had to rebuild my auto tranny in my 2.9L Ranger once, a year ago. Its been fine since then. Have you lifted or lowered your truck? Lifting or lowering too much can put extra strain on a transmission. 5 rebuilds? Sounds fishy...

yeah something doesn't sound right about 5 rebuilds, i think your better off throwing that one out and getting a used one or new if you want, the only thing i can think of is there could be a leak or something and it keeps running out of fluid, i had my old one go on me when it got too hot from not enough fluid in there, but those transmissions are pretty solid, i don't know why it needs to be rebuilt 5 times ina year, i agree with drw....sounds fishy
