I recently had my 2001 ford ranger worked on at the Ford place. The Cylinder where the key goes was replaced. Now the dash lights are not working, some times the lights wI'll come on, and some times not. What could be the problem?

 

Are you referring to the dash warning lites or the dash illumination lites?

 

I am referring to illumination lites.

 

There are several functions that share power and ground connections with the dash lighting . If ,no other malfunctions are present , they might have disturbed a plug in connection for the instrument cluster that is only affecting the dash lights. It may require pulling the dash back in order to check this out.
Good place to start would be the dash light intensity adjustment sw.
