Default Lean burning...

I have a 2002 ford ranger 3 liter. I have been burning E85 for a few months now, the last month or so, a check engine lights kicks on, and I run the codes it running lean. I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem.

I think maybe to check the plugs and change them, along with the fuel filter also.

Any Suggestion?

Thanks,

Chris

yeah, i would suggest looking at the plugs on the bank that is lean, if they are ok, than check your fuel filter. if that is ok, you might want to check fuel pressure.

That fuel has a lot of alcohol in it, a lot more than the 10%. You need a lot more fuel to air with alcohol than gasoline, like about twice as much. So it is quite natural that it is going to be running leaner.

The more alcohol in it , the more you need. Simple as that
