not sure what it is
my truck wont start for some reason. i have a 95 ranger 2.3L about 180,000 miles on it i drove home from work parked it then tried goin out and it wouldnt start it turns over and everything there arent any blown fuses its getting spark and it tries to start when i spray ether in it but it wont run. im thinking its the fuel filter but befrore i attempt to replace that i want to know if theres anything else it could be, hopefullt some small easy to get to switch that i have to turn on that doesnt include bloody knuckles haha
Could be a dirty fuel filter. However, even with a dirty fuel filter you normally will get enough fuel thru to start the engine. I would check for proper fuel pressure at the injector fuel rail. You could have a failed fuel pump or fuel pump relay. Do you hear the pump run for a few seconds when you turn the key on?
