Hi people,i have problem with my Taurus,in from Ny and in the City my car spent 10mpg! Sometimes 9,5 but this is horrible! Im not aggressive driver,i have also opet road, and in that case is little bit better but that is not mormal anyway... ford give us information on the car for that model and bla bla bla 19city/27 hgw ...i was also in ford service and I checked on the diagnostic,looked everything if fine but it is not! There could be a number of reasons for excessive fuel consumption.
Any check engine light , anytime?
If driving in the city and the trans never gets out of 2nd gear , over 19 MPH ?
What kind of maintenance has been done? When?
What are you carrying in the vehicle?
Could you expand a little just what was done at the Ford dealer?

 

Engine work perfectly,I don’t feel any problem when im driving but just gas is a problem...no engine light on my dashboard,but that what you said for 2gear maybe can be a answer...maybe because im working food delivery and you need to stop,pick up the food,stop again,turn off your car,turn on again but still 9-10mpg is to low...

 

I believe you answered your own question. Stop and go driving will eat up fuel and that could be why.

 

Im thinking if im start driving for uber how much can be,because you have open road ,and if this gas continues to spend like this im gonna be favorite person in the gas station
